I received a ton of requests for this pattern, so here it is! Simple to make, these crochet baby booties make the perfect gift for new mothers!
For reference, the size of the sole should be as follows:
0-3month = 3 to 3.5 inches
3-6month = 3.5 to 4 inches
6-9month = 4 to 4.5 inches
If you find that the sole of your bootie is too big or too small, you can adjust by decreasing or increasing your hook size, respectively. You can also make the next size up/down!
Size differences are noted in the pattern with (0-3mo, 3-6mo, 6-9mo)
Abbreviations
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
BLO = back loops only
inc = increase
dec = decrease
Materials
Caron Simply Soft Yarn
Crochet "D" hook (3.25mm)
Booties (make 2)
Round 1: Ch (10, 11, 12). Hdc twice into the 2nd ch from hook. Hdc (7, 8, 9). Hdc 6 into the last ch. Now working into the bottom of the original ch, hdc (7, 8, 9), hdc twice into last st.
Round 2: Sc inc, sc inc, sc (7, 8, 9), hdc inc in next 5 st, sc (7, 8, 9), sc inc in last two st.
Round 3: *Hdc, hdc inc* twice, hdc (8, 9, 10), *hdc inc, hdc* six times, hdc (8, 9, 10), *hdc inc, hdc* twice.
Round 4: Working in BLO, sc in each st around.
Round 5: Hdc in each st around.
Round 6: Repeat round 5.
Round 7: Sc twice, dec, sc (7, 8, 9), hdc twice, dc dec 10 times, hdc twice, sc (7, 8, 9), dec, sc twice.
Round 8: Sc (11, 12, 13), hdc twice, dc dec 4 times, hdc twice, sc (11, 12, 13).
Round 9: Sc (10, 11, 12), hdc twice, dc dec 3 times, hdc twice, sc (10, 11, 12).
Rounds 10-12: Hdc in each st around.
Round 13: Sl st in each st around. F/o and weave in ends.
